It was in a portion of the show about the biggest surprises of the college football season. He basically said he was one of those people who thought CLK was in over his head going in, but that he now feels differently. He did mention the jabs at Florida, and how even though he didn't feel like the games at FL and AL were as close as the scores indicate, he really thought we'd get embarrassed by both.

Its on espn radio and i think all or part is on Tv on ESPN 2 I believe. He was talking about How he continues to subtly jab at Urb and co,and how he had UT headed in the direction a program of our stature shold be headed.

The florida game may not have been as close at the score indicated but the Alabama game was given away by us. That was as close as it gets. If we could have just made one of the three missed FGs......

Glad to hear some of these guys be man enough to admit they were wrong. Although I'm not sure what he means by the games not being as close as the scores indicate...were we not one low kick/man boob away from a win against Bama?

I wonder how a blocked kick from winning the game against al is considered not close as the scores indicates?

I was yelling at my radio when he made that comment about Alabama. Tennessee in the Bama game did exactly what you want to do when you are supremely overmatched man for man. They kept it within striking distance, and nearly capitalized on some opportunities to pull out a win over a better football team.

Maybe because he meant that he couldn't believe that Bama was able to keep it so close, that all they needed was a blocked kick to win. Yeah! I'm sure that's what he meant!

games not as close as the score indicates??? He's an idiot. He's a wannabe comedian just like the rest of the espn guys. I'm tired of these guys who have never touched a freakin ball in their life give their opinion on if a game is gonna be close or not... wannabe Craig Kilborn's!

let it go, who cares. When we get mad about "it being closer than the score" we become fans who like moral victories. We hate to lose period. Let them say we lost. We dont want to be like Auburn fans...

I believe if Scott would have reviewed the stats form the Bama game, he would be reminded that we out played Bama in that game. That and the missed field goals are what made that loss so frustrating.
