Scott Speed has replaced Joe Nemechek for the race at Sonoma in case someone wants to pick him.

Scott Speed has replaced Joe Nemechek for the race at Sonoma in case someone wants to pick him.

I didn't see his qualifying run but can't understand how a guy that has F1 experience failed to qualify for a road course. I'm wondering if he made a mistake or if his car was that bad.

He was on a top 10 pole run and just made a mistake in the second to last turn. He had a great car.

They also did this at Lowe's. I figured they would as soon as he went off course during in qualifying run. Joe comes away with a nice check out of all of this.
