I didn't see this anywhere but the title could vary..... Sorry if this has already been posted.

Mark Schlabach: Gazing into the crystal ball for 2009 - ESPN

1. Florida will win back-to-back national championships :cray:

4. The Big 12 will still be the best conference

6. Virginia Tech will beat Alabama to start the season :yahoo:

9. Terrelle Pryor will be a Heisman Trophy candidate

10. USC won't finish in the top 10

14. Arkansas will be the most improved team in the country :eek:hmy:

17. Auburn will name Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting :post-4-1090547912:

19. Spurrier will hang up his visor :birgits_giggle:

I think the Big 12 is showing its true colors in the bowls. With OK St. and TT losing and Texas going to the wire with an average OSU team, the Big 12 isn't looking very special.

I can see some of those coming true. I could see Spurrier calling it quits after this season, and Pryor having a great year a making a run at the Heisman.

I wonder if he'll change his mind in just over 24 hours from now if Florida drills OU. That will be 2 of their top 3 teams getting beat by the SEC. One of which being Ole Miss over one of their big 3 this year.

"After the Tigers lose their first three games against Louisiana Tech, Mississippi State and West Virginia, Auburn will name offensive coordinator Gus Malzahn its coach-in-waiting to succeed recently hired Gene Chizik." :post-4-1090547912::post-4-1090547912:

He seems to be conceding that UF is going to win the NC, so how is he going to proclaim the Big XII the best conference in the same article? He might have a argument if OU wins the title, but not with an SEC taking the NC and the Big XII's bowl showing this season.

What a quack.

But seriously, Ohio State will win it all next year.

Are you serious? Tressel won't win another national title. Their defense just always seems slow and husky to me. Also they don't get prepared during the season with their soft Big Ten schedule. Another thing is they don't really play fast.

I hope we stay off the radar and then we come out and destroy UCLA and set the tone for our season.

Get yourself a little post a note. Write down "VolsByNature said OSU wins NC"

Place it on your fridge, and just wait. Bwahaha

Just can't imagine Matthew Stanford's stepfather didn't tout his stepson's "locked for 1st overall pick in next NFL draft"

I kinda of started to hate the UGA crap because of him.

Schlabach has always been quick to say another conference is better or getting to the level of an SEC. I'm not saying the SEC is heads and shoulders abover everyone else, but I do think it's the best.

In 2006 when Rutgers was on it's run he was all on the Big East's bandwagon. I think he does it to shed any hommerism because he is to Georgia as Chris Low is to Tennessee.

uh Ohio State will not even play for the Nat. Title. It will be either USC,Tex,or FL in the title game.
