Rutgers fans are just a little bit sharper. They get it.

Wait, what "it"? Well, that's easy: The "it" is that it's ok to turn a blind eye to low moral character, as long as the candidate for head coach has a winning history at Rutgers in the past.

Yes, Rutgers fans do indeed get it. And now they've got it. Good luck with your tarnished coach, Rutgers. I'm certainly glad we "didn't get it."

Go Vols!

Wait til they hand him the schedule and he realizes the Big East doesn’t exist anymore.
Read a really simple and convincing explanation for Schiano's success at Rutgers starting in 2005. From 2001-04, Schiano was 12-34 (3-24). From 2005-11, he went 56-33 (25-24).

In 2005, Virginia Tech and Miami (and Boston College, but they aren't a factor) moved to the ACC. There was a power vacuum, and someone was going to fill it. Now, given Rutgers's resources and standing in the Big East you wouldn't have necessarily expected them to be the team that filled it. Schools like Cincinnati, Louisville, or South Florida might have been more logical choices. But Schiano was no doubt a big beneficiary after that. He did recruit some rather impressive players to Rutgers during his time there, many of whom are still playing in the NFL, so there's something to be said for that.

Since joining the Big Ten, they've been total trash (21-52, 7-45).

Here's my whole issue with Schiano-

McQueary testifies that Bradley said Schiano saw the abuse happen. Yes, that's third hand information (albeit under oath). First, I couldn't understand what McQueary had to gain by making this up.

Secondly, I had an issue with Schiano's response....a tweet.

Wrongly accused of this my response would have been:

1-Stomp mudhole in McQueary and Bradley.

2- get bailed out

3- pay for a lie detector test out of my own pocket

4- post results online and buy and full page ad in USA today

5- repeat #1

Shame on UT. o_Oo_Oo_O

“No,” McQueary replied, according to the documents, “only that he had — I can’t remember if it was one night or one morning — but that Greg had come into his office white as a ghost and said he just saw Jerry doing something to a boy in the shower. And that’s it. That’s all he ever told me.” https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...-sandusky-abuse-at-penn-state-documents-show/

See, TN at least had reason not to hire Schiano. Rutgers had a reason, too; not to suck at football. As badly.
How principled.

Schiano was successful at Rutgers when Rutgers was in the Big East; (Cupcake city) . The Big 10 is a mite harder comp. 2-10 ,3-9, 2-10 and He gone. Rutgers better try like hell to get into the MAC. WHOEVER signed off on Schiano for coach at UT needs to be banned from this program and Committed.
