Jarret's dad was on the team when Greg was an GA at Rutgers.

I also think Schiano was recruiting Jarret to come to Ohio State.

I'm wondering if the Guarantano family was vouching for Schiano as a head coach... and if they were? Will JG transfer out now?

Just look at his likes on twitter. He was very much in support of Schiano and was liking posts where people were calling TN fans crazy idiots. Think that is all you need to know about if he supported him or TN in this whole ordeal.

If JJ got released from the team for his social media behavior...JG needs to be gone for liking the tweets he's been liking.

If JG doesn’t like the coach we hire, then he can just leave

To use his own words that he spouted (makes me think he knew SchiaNOway was in play)

To paraphrase Mr. Guarantano:

"We are Tennessee. Those that don't like it can GTFO."

Not directing that toward anyone in particular, I just happen to totally agree with the sentiment.

Johnny Majors for interim coach - 2018. It'll be a hoot!

While he's a kid and social media is just a cesspool, this isn't a good look for the starting QB at UT. It's all about HIM, not the University. Not the first time we've seen signs of this, but it's starting to really become something that can't be overlooked.

Hopefully he will. If he stays we will have to find it in our budget to hire a baby sitter. And we really cant afford that right now. :)

All I know is you don't hire a HC because one player likes him.

You hire a HC that is a good fit for the university that will support the values and ethics at that university.

he is just a 19 year old kid who needs so much coaching just to be average. he has no idea what his words mean. he talks all over the board...he wants to be a leader but leaders aren't to scared to throw the ball away and curl up in the fetal position. i wish the only problem we had was who the qb is going to be.

Guarantano is immature, at best. His actions yesterday showed he is all about himself and thinks his 19 year old self is somehow more knowledgeable than the fans who have been filling Neyland since before he was born. He wanted Schiano because he's friends with his daddy and he knew he would keep his starting QB job...something that isn't a guarantee when the new coaching staff comes in. #GuarantaNO

We're not that lucky.

If Guarantano is what we're going with at QB next year, the coaching decision may not be the biggest problem.

He is the best qb we have by a long shot. If he doesn't like the new coach he will be gone. I think he will suck it up and ball out next year.

Guarantano knew that Schiano was gonna be hired. He has known it. His post game comments were about the players will have to totally buy in to the new coach and the program or they can just leave.

He would say this without knowing who's coming? No. He knew. That's why he said it. He was sending a message to his teammates. So, if anything he knew the team would have been divided over Schiano news and was getting out in front to act like a tough guy leader....like go hard or go home.....

The program is bigger than a guy who will be here 3 years and may not even start next year. He is free to go elsewhere.
