University of Tennessee Athletics Football

Gates Open: 4 p.m. ET
Kickoff: 6 p.m. ET
Vol Walk (Corner of Volunteer and Lake Loudoun to Gate 21 Plaza): Begins at 3:45 p.m.
Band March: Begins at 4:20 p.m.
"All in the Family" Barbecue Tailgate: 3 - 5 p.m. in Circle Park. Open the 2010 football season celebrating the rare opportunity for two UT campuses to meet on the football field.

I know you got this from the official site but I think they have their times wrong.

Kick off is 6:00 and the band begins marching at 5:20, that only leave 40 minutes to travel to the stadium. Considering pregame starts about 10-15 minutes before kick off, that's not alot of time for them as well as getting all the people outside the stadium in for the game.

I saw in another spot that the band will begin marching 1 hr 40 minutes before kickoff making it 4:20pm

4:20 sounds better... I didn't think was such a time gap between Vol Walk and the Pride marching down.

2:00 pm
Will-Call Open: The ticket will-call gate located at gate 21 will open at 2:00 pm. Tickets will be available to purchase on day of game.


2:30 pm
Volunteer Village opens at 2:30 pm at Humanities Plaza. Men's golf will be signing autographs from 3 -3:45 pm and baseball will be signing from 4 to 5 pm.


3:45 pm
Vol Walk: The Tennessee Football team will begin its game day trek to Neyland Stadium at approximately 3:45 pm. The “Vol Walk”, will begin on Volunteer Blvd. in front of parking lot C8, head down Peyton Manning Pass and continue on Phillip Fulmer Way to Gate 21A at the stadium.


4:00 pm
Gates Open: All gates to Neyland Stadium will open at 4:00 pm. Free keychain schedule courtesy of Image Matters will be handed out at gates 10 and 21 to first 5,000 fans.

4:20 pm
Pride of the Southland Band: The University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland Band will commence their march upon completion of the Vol Walk. The band marches up Volunteer Blvd. to Andy Holt Ave. then onto Phillip Fulmer Way, stopping along the way to “Salute to the Hill” before marching into the stadium at Gate 21A.


6:00 pm
Kickoff: Kickoff for the UT Martin – Tennessee Football game takes place at 6:00 pm. Game will be available on Pay-Per-View with Randy Smith Doing play-by-play and former Vol Pat Ryan doing the color analysis.

TENNESSEE ATHLETICS TO USE FAN TEXT MESSAGING SYSTEM FOR 2010 SEASON
Tennessee Athletics in conjunction with InStadiumSolutions (ISS) will introduce a fan text messaging communications system at Neyland Stadium, beginning with the Sept. 4 game against Tennessee-Martin. This system created by ISS allows fans to request immediate assistance from event management personnel through a text message.“This system allows us to increase our efficiency addressing fans’ needs in a simple and effective way,” Assistant Athletics Director for Event Management David Elliott said. “Through the fan text message system, we hope to enhance our customer service for the fans while attending a Tennessee athletic event.” Read more.

MEN’S AND WOMEN’S BASKETBALL TICKETS AND “MEET YOUR SEATS”
2010-11 season tickets for the men’s and women’s basketball teams will go on sale Wed., Sept. 8 at 8:30 am. Men’s 300 level tickets as well as Family Plan tickets are available. A SEC three game mini-pack that will feature tickets to LSU, South Carolina and Kentucky will also be on sale. Women’s basketball season tickets will feature full season ticket plans, Family Plans and the popular Coke 6-Pack which feature Lady Vol games against Arizona State, Stanford, Mississippi, Vanderbilt, Georgia and LSU.

The athletic department will host a "Meet Your Seats" event at Thompson-Boling Arena on Sept. 7--one day before the public sale begins--during which fans can see the available inventory for both men's and women's basketball season tickets and "test drive" their seats. The event runs from 3-7 p.m. ET, free parking will be available in the G-10 garage (directly east of the arena) and the ticket office will process all new orders on site. GRAND OPENING OF ADIDAS STORE AT NEYLAND STADIUM
The Neyland Stadium store at Gate 20 has been converted to an adidas concept store and is now under the direction and operation of the UT Bookstore. The grand opening will be Sept. 1 and a special ribbon cutting ceremony will be at 6 p.m. The Tennessee Official Team Shop will host Vol Calls with Bob Kesling from 8-9 p.m. this evening with Coach Dooley. First 100 customers through the doors will receive a coupon.
