Schaffers injury

Quite frankly if his collarbone has barely had enough time to heal, we will not put him in a game where the end result would likely be another break. In addition, after having your arm in a sling for 4 weeks, time is needed to do a little rehab and get the muscle built back up. Having said that, he will not have thrown a pass in 4 weeks either, time is needed to get back into playing shape. I'll be surprised if BS plays in our boowl game. Positive results of EA's MRI is our best bet IMO. I am no Dr. but have had several shoulder injuries AND I slept in a Holiday Inn Express last night!

Go VOLS!!!

According to Schaeffer he thinks he could be ready by then, seemingly he is healing rather fast.

:dlol: :eek:lol: Nice BhamVol!

On Brent, I think it may be possible since it wasn't his throwing arm, but I'm no doctor either. Tough luck being hurt at a position we were two deep at... but I think what you said in another thread rings true... this may keep both our boys at home in Knoxville!

I heard it would be 5 more weeks. However, Sanders said that Ainge had the exact same injury he has now when he was in high school..... and played 2 weeks later.

I pray for such a situation! The good Lord willing...

I would be suprised to see Brent back. He takes some pretty nasty hits and one big hit could really hurt him.

TO ALL THE FALLEN VOL PLAYERS-----GET WELL SOON!

The Tennessean is reporting that Ainge could return as early as the Kentucky game and that Shaeffer might return for the SECCG.
