Scale 1-10, how are y'all feeling about this season

10. We have nearly every single difficult game at Neyland. Our D is going to be good if not elite. Our offense has the potential to be the best Heupel has had yet. We have a good line. Best WRs we have had in years. 2 QBs that are both capable of being Hooker 2.0 or better. Our RBs need to stay healthy. I believe we are going to win the SEC or make a run in the playoffs. We may have to wait for 27 for the Natty but maybe not.

I will withhold my call till I get to see the impact of what I think was the most important addition….,,, the S&C coach and staff on ALL the position groups. If comprehensive life could be better. Practice reports once in full pads will give me some fodder to put my analysis in full view.

Fitter and faster can bend each players curve and if enough in each group whoopee. Then the gamer genes can be fully analyzed.

Excited to see Vols football = 9

NIL ruining football = 2

Worried, but interested, in QB sit = 7

Overall, I reckon a 7.

I am at an 8. And it’s not because of Heupel or Knowles. It’s because of Owings. I really think we are gonna see some bigger, stronger and more athletic Vols this season.

Our players don't care, the coach can't even be bothered to shave, iron his clothes, manage a clock, complete a sentence, or script any plays beyond a first possession. So why would I care?

4. Maybe 3. Saturdays have become much more fun and varied ever since I kinda lost interest.

After looking at the RB room, behind Bishop , this room doesn’t all that great on paper. Heard the staff is high on Morris, but if Bishop gets banged up we may be in trouble.
I think Baker would step right in and perform similarly to Bishop.

Lost interest enough to show your ass on a message board.
Vol fans run the gamut from the best around to absolute trash.

I may be smoking something I shouldn’t, but I’m actually daring to hope. Our team was young last year and paid their dues. I know they will play a tougher schedule, and the W/L may not show it, but I think they will be better.
They will be better, and I think the W/L will show it. The other teams will have a lot to say about it. Our guys need to play with a winning edge and never, ever quit. Turn on more steam.

I didn't think this could happen, but I have started losing some interest in college football with all this NIL stuff.

It's just not as fun now as opposed to before seeing a group of guys giving their all for the pride of the school.

I think it will be a tough season for the Vols because of the schedule!!

I don’t have a real solid idea at all.

Way too many moving parts but once the Texas game is settled I’m probably going to swing one direction or the other pretty hard.

It's hard to say what to expect since all SEC teams seem to be getting stronger with NIL, even the cellar dwellers. I guess that means no easy SEC games? Then you add the additional SEC game and top 20 Georgia Tech non-conference. My feeling is the 2 freshmen QB's will struggle at least until mid-season. Hopefully they both make it to that point intact, probably a 50/50. Combine that with a new defensive game plan and you have a lot of red flags going into the season. That puts it about 7, max 8 wins no playoff berth in my book.

The thing that gives me the most optimism is the new S&C coach. He apparently worked wonders at Indiana.

Awwwwww....aren't you just the little charmer??

In my experience, folks who insult others on message boards have issues far beyond college athletics.

Have a great day, sport.

Says the oblivious poster who insulted our players and coach for no reason other than your own shortcomings.
How bout you go tell Telander, Carter or any others to their face they don’t care, sport.

I’m excited for the season but feel we really fell short on picking up another solid DT or two… maybe we pick one up after spring IDK… 9 game sec schedule really feel like we should have spent a little more overall. Rooting for Huep regardless
