It may be too late. They have had a couple decommitments for the ‘24 class. Their only chance to try and salvage this season is to bench dj u. His best season was last year at oregon st against lower level fbs teams.

They got lucky with the portal and then just went all in plugging holes there the last year so the entire team outside Patrick Payton is young players and this was a wake up call to Norvell that you have to develop your own and create home-grown depth too. Their 2023 and 2024 classes were pretty good, so they will be fine, but this year shows the nation really you can't just depend on the portal
