Say We Win???

Eight years ago it would have been hard to imagine where we are now. Especially if we knew Spurrier was leaving and we would continue to recruit well. Its been a real letdown... a slow and painful decent from the national elite.

The 90s did spoil us a bit, but Tennessee is historically a top 10 program. Given that, I don't think that expecting 10 wins, BCS appearances, and SEC championships every several years is unreasonable.

That rubs salt in my wounds worse than anything. The door was wide open.

I agree.

But I would much rather have Phil winning 8 or 9 games than go through what Nebraska did when they first got rid of Osborne...

Nebraska didn't get rid of him, he resigned/retired. Big difference between voluntarily leaving on your own terms and being forced out.

If we win tomorrow, I predict that Fulmer will get at least a one year contract extension.
