Boom!

Winning is what the 2017 class needed to take off. Get to Atlanta and this class will be stellar once again.

Love to hear it. Just wish our fans didn't boo before halftime. Bad look. I was furious as well but I was doing all the booing and cursing in my head :) At least Neyland made up for it by being absolutely deafening in the 3rd and 4th quarters. Hope this translates to some top commits.

I was on the ramps as the recruits left. Every single one of them had a smile on their face, and we shook their hands and gave them a big orange send off!

Fans have a right to express their feeling over the first half of garbage football. Sometimes it lights a fire....it may have helped. UT fans care too much to set around....again...and watch crap. Not fans fault. Stop that!

Yes we played like actual garbage in the first half, but let's be real here. Stop defending a bunch of fans booing their team. You can make excuses but it isn't a good look regardless, especially with an entire half of football left to play.

Like I said, I am positive the 2nd half atmosphere made up for it, but I can guarantee you there were some recruits who probably did not appreciate it. I'm not trying to belittle the fans, I just wish they would have expressed their frustrations other ways.

I didn't think the fans were booing THE TEAM. I thought they were booing the decision to not make a go at putting up some points on that last drive before half.

I don't condone booing usually. That didn't really bother me though. Sucks to think that some of the guys could have misconstrued it as Tennessee fans booing the team, though.

Here we go..with the booing or not booing debate this is like religion and politics everyone has an opinion.. Many times here in VN somebody throw out the true fan card out..

I think most fans were booing the decision to let the clock run out even though there was still 50 seconds left and we had several timeouts, and recruits probably understand that. It would have been much worse if fans booed after our drops and interceptions, but thankfully I didn't hear any.

Nobody likes conservative decision-making, so although I didn't boo myself I think its excusable.

Woah now. Let's not put words in people's mouth. That is a VN staple. I didn't call them not true fans. I just said I don't think it was the most appropriate action fans could have taken considering the situation. Two completely different things.

So not calling you on this. You just typed it but it's been expressed a lot.

Booing is booing. Rationale on what was meant is moot. The person receiving will apply their own interpretation regardless of what anybody rationalizes was meant by the booing.

And since we're all speculating my guess is some of the kids would have perceived it negatively. Granted the 2nd half was night and day but as they always say "you only get one chance to make a first impression"

I, like you, never want to hear the crowd boo our athletes, but not at least trying to throw up a Hail Marry at the end of the half was (I hope) what the crowd was booing.

The problem with fans that boo like that is their upbringing. That or they didn't listen.

People can't read minds. What folks need to understand is that the booing a team as they leave the field is ALWAYS taken as booing the team by the team. And by team I am implying players and coaches.
