Volbynature, don't sweat it too much. A lot of people didn't want to replace the orange seats in TBA with black. We all know the place looks a 1000 times better, now. If it happens that the football team or basketball team wear a black uni, the world will not stop and Tennessee tradition will continue on. Some won't enjoy it but others, like me and you, will love it!

When I played gainst Pigeon Forge back in the day, I think their field was only like 80 yards.

Thats because PF only had 15 players and most played both sides of the ball. They were "not so good" and Townsend was terrible! The only team worse than both was Cosby...A bunch of drunken junior moonshiners (generational of course) that would rather fight than play football...Mainly because they SUCKED at football and really couldn't fight either.

This was in 79-80.

Absurd post. The black debate is about the school colors and tradition more than the look. Age has nothing to do with it. That's why the comments about any random color make sense.

Just saying that if a school thinks it might heighten their chances with top notch recruits, they will incorporate a black jersey into their lineup. Kids are very much so drawn to the school uniforms. They have grown up designing uniforms on video games and I can gaurantee almost all of them include black. As much as people don't want to admit it, Oregon has a cool factor with kids because of their uniforms.

Plus, it wouldn't be the first time that UT wore black. So, black is actually in their tradition.
