Wasn’t KMac doing the same thing before he got here? Not trying to poo poo this kid but I’ve learned to temper my expectations and prefer to let these guys prove it against SEC competition.

No worries. The practice clip was shared for your enjoyment of the clip itself, so there's no way to poo poo the man for it even if you did try.
If anyone forms a conclusion from one clip of a drill or fears others will form a conclusion from it, that's not logical thinking. When you attempt to deduce the same college football career outcome for a player based on a 5-second practice clip just because another player had a good practice clip too, that's jumping to a conclusion based on a premise with no logical support because practice clips do not determine SEC success. A hasty leap from that clip to believing you can make a comparison to McKenzie with it isn't any more valid than thinking you can judge future success based on it. That error in reasoning is called a logical fallacy. In this instance, that would be "guilt by association." So no, there is absolutely no valid grounds for comparison between K-Mac and Savage just based on this clip and there is no justified fear that others will jump to a conclusion of any kind or think that someone wants them to form a conclusion of any kind because either would be as ridiculous as saying Peyton Manning didn't have a good career because he had a good practice clip since Ryan Leaf had a good highlight and was a bust. I don't attach any expectations to the end of that clip and I think you are wise not to do so. It's not about preferring to let players prove it in SEC comp or before, because they won't have the opportunity to prove it until they face SEC comp anyway, so preferences to let them do it or not have no place since they'll either do well in SEC play or not.
