As promised, I sat through the miserable sun and snagged about 150 pictures from Saturday's scrimmage. They didn't let people wander about the stadium yesterday (and I was really hot and didn't want to move) so every picture is from the same place. I did get several good pictures of the new jumbotron. If anyone wants the high-res version of any of these pics, just pm me and let me know.

They use those when offense and defense get mixed together on special teams.

To go into more detail on top of what CubsFan said, on special teams plays you'll have orange and white jerseys on both kicking and receiving teams. Those things on helmets are worn by the kicking team so that you know who to hit and who not to.

Hmm...never seen that before. You would think they would be more contrasting colors though.

They should use it as a training device for the QB's on who not to throw too.

Nice pics. What is the purpose of the green and blue covers over some of the helmets in a few of the pics?

So, they practiced special teams yesterday, huh? That's great. They didn't on the previous Saturday. Did they do kickoffs as well as punts?
