Was with Pruitt at Bama in 16. Still coaching, so if Matthews is right about the hire already being made, would make sense that it wouldn’t be out there yet as terms being settled in ATL. Likely would’ve been fired anyway. He’s not a good NFL OC, but he’s had success under Carroll and did a stint as an analyst for Saban. One of the better x and o guys in the mid to late 2000s. Just a thought.

He has also been a trainwreck since USC. He was so outcoached in the natty vs Clemson that he had the interim OC tag.....

And didn't he and Kiffin share playcalling at USC under Carroll? I think he would be a hard pass. His tenure at the Falcons may be shortlived.

Do the coaches of the losing team always get outcoached, or do players factor in?

I think the two best OCs in college football are Briles, and Kiffin.

Most people on here believe we need more Jimmys and Joes on the OL to make our offense tolerable

Sark believes we need more Jacks, Jims, Joses, and Johnnys to make our offense tolerable.....

If you believe the talking heads in Atlanta (which includes former NFL guys) he has struggled in the NFL b/c in college he just lined up with the better players. Now that he has to adjust and try to confuse a defense it is a problem.
He definitely wouldn't have better players here for a very long time..

Didn’t bamer score more points in the NC game with Sark vs Clemson than they did vs Washington in the playoff game with Kiffen?

I’m a Falcons fan. I really hope his tenure is short-lived. The man doesn’t know how to use Julio in the red zone and struggles to consistently call a good game with one of the most talented offensive teams in the league. There’s no reason that team should be lower than top 5 in scoring and they are 14th right behind freaking Baltimore. Freeman has been hurt all year but they still have great weapons. The drop off from Shanahan to Sark was double digit points per game. That’s massive, especially in the league. I’m with you. Hard pass.
