Couple of questions. If they are allowed to come back, where are the teams going to put them? Week 0 starts this weekend and teams already are at their roster and scholarship limits. They going to kick players off the team to make room? If so those players will just turn around and file a lawsuit.
Also the fall semesters have already started, how are they going to enroll in school?

LSU paid Kiffy a lot of $ and promised whatever he needed to recruit the players to win a natty. Looks like they are owning up to their end. I think LSU's definition is, what's good for LSU is all that matters. They have created a monster there.

It will be interesting if Sankey pushes forward. Sankey didn't say they couldn't come. He just imposed hefty punishment for the coaches and the team if they do. I don't know how a judge can interfere with that. One of the penalties is a coach suspension for half a year.

I’m curious how current players (who have been busting their butts and expect PT) react when a pro is brought back and takes said PT. I don’t believe I’d be very happy.

Pretty sure LSU has an Underwater BB Stacking major the new players can enroll in quickly.

Kiffin might negotiate a suspension through September. That way he wouldn’t have to go to Oxford.

Interesting theory but think Kiffin's ego and desire for the spotlight wouldn't agree to that. He wants to go back to Oxford. And I hope OM kicks his butt and throws mustard bottles at him.

Yeah I don't see how the language of the SEC ruling has anything to do with this. The player isn't specifically barred. It's the members of the SEC who, by risk of punishment, are barred from having these players on their roster. And it's a rule that has been passed by each member. There really isn't anything the courts can do here.

I'll keep asking.

Why didn't the NCAA use this logic to stop multiple transfers?

We won't punish the players, they are welcome to transfer twice but we'll punish any school that plays them without them sitting out a year after transferring.

It seems to me the conferences should tell the teams that they can play any player they would like to play. However, if they choose to play players that do not meet the criteria set forth in conference rules and regs, the school would forfeit any and all the shared monies from televison and bowl deals. The wins and stats could count, so the players wouldn't be punished or denied a chance to ewrn a paycheck, as the school could deem winning more important than conference money.

Is there no IR in college? Most teams have lost a few guys for the season at this point.

It's hard to say...these judges usually have egos and doing something to defy them sometimes can set them off. Idk if Sankey would risk get slapped publicly by a judge.
