I have seen several posts in other threads asking for some first hand experiences from people at the game. I figured it would be good to start a new thread for everyone's stories.

My seats were in the closed end zone where Eason competed the go ahead TD pass with twelve seconds to go. (opposite the vols section and band) We were three of the very few vols in the area. After the interception with roughly 2 minutes left DAWG fans started to clear out. They all got jammed up at the exits around the hedges though and by the time Georgia was making its final drive barely anyone had actually made it out.

When they hit the deep pass the stadium went crazy as you can imagine. I honestly expected the fans around the hedges to storm the field if they won.

Heard a lot of comments in my section like, "I'll take that celebration penalty." They were all raising serious hell shaking pom poms leading up to the play. When he caught it I was one of the first to realize it had happened and went berserk. All the GA fans just slowly stood up and left. We stayed until the ushers made us leave.

As soon as the game ended they shut the big screen off to a screensaver and never once showed a replay of the Catch or a final score. It was the best game Iv'e ever seen by far.

That's funny about them turning off the big screen not even showing the final score!

I know, talk about some sore losers. And I couldn't get service to pull the replay up on my phone so it was a couple hours before I got to see the replay at Waffle House.

Was in upper deck in section 610. Just had been at the lowest of the lows when Eason completed that pass with ten seconds left and the few Georgia fans around us started barking obnoxiously.

We all were standing and watched Dobbs throw the Hail Mary to the end zone and could see only Josh Smith streaking across the end zone pointing. At that moment the whole 600 level full of Tennessee fans shook and saw water flying through the air. The gentlemen behind me jumped so hard that both of his lens on his sunglasses fell out.

Was beyond epic. Was one of the highs you can't explain. Things like that just don't happen to Tennessee.

The georgia radio broadcast even mentioned it. The commentator must have looked up after the celebration broke out and said something along the lines of "They've turned off the scoreboard. What was the final? 34-31?"

It's been a great day! I expect tomorrow to be pretty damn good at the office too

On TV they showed some people lining up around the hedges after they scored with 10 seconds to go, were they lining up to storm the field? If so, that's hilarious. Dobbs and company put a stop to that.

I know the feeling! I was physically shaking with butterflies in my stomach for a solid hour after the game.

Your picture gives me vertigo.
Because it's 90 degrees out of phase.

We were in section 603. It was pandemonium after the catch. There was one vulgar dog fan in our section who vanished somehow after "The Catch" The few other dog fans in our section apologized to my wife and daughter for his rudeness.

Thanks :hi: I've made it to Bristol and Athens so far this year and they rank One and Two for games and experiences for me. Hopefully it turns out to be a special season.:dance2:

I was sitting somewhere within a half mile of you at Bristol then. That was an incredible experience and the weeks that have followed have been an incredible ride! Keep the good luck coming brother

It was such a bush league move. They turned it off within seconds of the catch.

Just one of many bush league moves sanctioned by that university leading up to and taking place in that game. The move of putting that scumbag center who broke Tuttle's leg on the ticket for the game was intentional and you can never convince me otherwise.

Dude know how to post-party.

Haha I knew I'd get some grief for that. But I traded my Saturday shift for a morning shift today so we had to take the party home. And I much prefer sitting at Waffle House with salty Dawgs to sitting in traffic with them hahaha.

In all honesty though I only had a negative experience with one Georgia fan who unfortunately was sitting right next to us. He was absolutely lit though and actually pissed off all the other Georgia fans far more than me and mine. Had a Georgia fan on my other side who was absolutely great.

That's probably one of the most classless things I've ever seen in college football. There is no way that it was unintentional. Even UGA fans I know have said the same thing. Crazy thing is, most of them believe we injured Chubb purposely instead of the grass monster...

You gotta think, if you're an SEC football player, one of the ultimate mementos of your career would be a ticket to a big rivalry game that has your picture on it. But what if that game was one of the most heartbreaking losses in your school's history? Would you always ask yourself if your own ****ty karmic influence played a role there?

I just wonder about that.

I don't know about Kublanow, but his ugly mug sure makes my tickets a beautiful keepsake for me :dance2::dance2::dance2:
