By the way, during the game on t.v., the officals making the calls over the P.A. sounded like an episode of The Twilight Zone. Full of echo and feedback. Was it like that in the stadium. Almost unintelligible.

It was terrible, you couldn’t really understand any of the calls, and it led to a whole bunch of fan confusion. And the PA announcer was noticeably quiet, so you heard a bunch of garbled, feedback noise, and then either music or the next play happened

I always think back to UT vs. Pacific & the end of Chuck Webb’s collegiate career when I see teams like this on the schedule… really hate them for that reason…
