What do you guys think of his chances at success in the NFL?

People seem to be thinking more and more that he will be good. I always thought he was overrated to be honest. He never seemed like he had a strong arm when I watched him in 2008. I don't pretend to be an NFL scout, and I'm certainly not claiming to be a great predictor of QB success in the NFL, but I just don't expect much. Honestly, I thought he was Graham Harrell on a better football team. Anyone else agree?

I think he will succeed. Arm strength is good enough. I don't think Montana had a strong arm.

Bradford will be fine, so long as he stays healthy. People said that about Ryan Leaf too...QB's are so random, as far as the total package goes, I'd give Bradford an 80% chance, Clausen 73%, and Lefevour and McCoy a 72%. I can't go with a high pick on a QB, as it basically a 1st card huge wager in 5 card stud.

Jimmy Clausen talent wise is just as good if not better than Bradford so I don't really consider that a reach. I do however agree that he will have a better career, but I think Bradford will be good as well.

I don't think a bust, but heck, who knows what David Carr may have been if he wasnt a foul pole...

I agree with you cat, in that 6'4 235 with a cannon is buying lots of love, but I couldnt justify the pick on a kid who has been hurt badly in the past....

Not a Ryan Leaf bust, more along the Ki Jana Carter bad luck bust

I thought the love for Clausen on this thread was a little over the top. The draft seems to agree.

After seeing where they both went, I feel even more confident that Clausen will have a better career.

I think Colt McCoy's career will be alright too. But, I think I'm the only one who thinks that. lol
