I guess its fine the way it is. USF has played well this season. They have played well against every opponent. May be few years down the line we might not say this if USF is top 5. This might be just a start.

there is simply no way to justify ranking the Vols 7 spots ahead of the Gators. actually, there is no way to justify ranking the Vols ANY spots ahead of the Gators. It's all a huge hoot.

just because Fl thrashed us doesnt mean they have to be ranked ahead of us. The lost to an unranked auburn team. We lost 2 games to higher ranked teams. Its like saying stanford should always be ranked ahead of USC just because they beat them.

I agreed...I find it quite amusing but I plan to use to it to poke fun at my Gator work buddies tomorrow.

both 2 loss teams..we lost by 39. Remember last year after we thrashed Cal, yet as soon as we lost to the Gators, Cal went back in front in the polls? We didn't think that was right...neither is this, imo.

On the fence about the playoff thing. The regular season is in effect the playoffs in college football. Last night's game would be ho-hum if we had a playoff system, but then you might see a rematch in LSU if you had a playoff. Just as long as we dont go to the shortened game idea again, I am pretty content with college football without a playoff.
