'Disgusting and inhumane:' Former Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo responds to trainer hiding dead body of his dog.

Former New England Patriots linebacker Jerod Mayo received some disturbing news over the weekend when his family's missing dog was found dead by the Rhode Island SPCA. The 5-year-old English bulldog, "Knox," was discovered in the Cranston, Rhode Island home of the dog's trainer, Amelia Ferriera.
The dog reportedly died while in the custody of Ferreira, who allegedly stashed the dog in the closet of her apartment for several weeks while feeding false information to the Mayos and police as they searched for Knox.

I had two beloved bulldogs for a decade. Although I'm all UT, Petsmart only carried red and black harnesses which I reluctantly permitted (one of each). However I did later find UT branded harnesses and visors for dogs, and made them wear those on game days. Man, the dogs despised those visors...they would sulk in the corner until I took them off. But they would happily wear the UT harnesses, and help cheer on the Vols.

Off Topic: I have two dogs that are half walker hound. So combined, I guess I have one whole walker. I love the breed- and they have been good dogs.
dog 1 is half walker, 1/4 golden, 1/4 german shepard
dog 2 is half walker, half Pit

I'd post pics, but I don't want to de-rail this thread into a "here's my pet" thread.

Mayo was one of my favorites, and a nice guy. I had a great chat with him after a game. He was laid back, not in a hurry and talked to me for about 10 minutes as my kids got his autograph.

Point of reference: This was after the Marshall game.
