We think a 14 point loss at home (the 6th in a row...) to our "rival" is a moral victory... News flash, Florida isn't very good and they still handled us... if not for a couple of blown coverage plays it's a 31-3 thrashing.

Now go ahead, flame the reality....

news flash, they are better than we are. Blown coverages arent part of the game??? If not for the missed tackles and ints we would be 3-0. Dumbest thing ive seen tonight, congrats. Not a moral victory though, I agree.

If not for a terrible throw in the endzone, and falling asleep on a fake punt, we are up going into the fourth.

What if works both ways.

3 coaches in 3 years, countless coordinator changes and tons of attrition tends to do that to a ball club.... If you don't like it, go pull for Bama, you'll fit right in with their "fair weather" fans....

Go Vols!!!

You're right, let's just call them worthless and terrible, forgetting how precarious our situation is right now and how a rebuilding project actually works. Maybe if we ridicule them enough, they'll play better.

You're statement is right. But, I think CDD will get us going in the right direction. He is making no excuses and really seems to understnd what has to be done to get back to our winning ways.

However, what really concerns me is that Florida is just as young as we are. I just read that 40% of their travel squad were freshmen or redshirt freshmen. The future will be a battle...

the point of this thread is not to ridicule the players, but more the fans on this board that go all, "IM GLAD TO BE A VOL!!! They played their hearts out..."

Call it like it is, they kicked our arse again, plain and simple. Don't go all moral victory crap on us. One thread a guy in convinced were gonna beat alabama now.... WTF??? what Tennessee gameS has he been watching, we're not good, we're not even a mediocre team.

Of course we're mediocre. Our roster has been gutted. There's been a coaching merry-go-round for years. We're playing multiple walk-ons. Our OL is starting two freshman. Etc., etc. It's practically impossible not to suck under those conditions, so I don't know why it's so important to be "realistic" and continually point out the deficiencies. Right now, it's all about working towards the future and playing a tough game against a team like the Gators is a step in that direction.

Well seeing as we cant just fast forward to 2012 0r 13 we have to take our lumps without quitting on our team. We still have some obtainable IMPORTANT goals. Make a bowl game is a priority (Don't care which bowl) as we need the extra practices. Second priority we want to keep beating Kentucky.

I dont think the coaches and players consider it a moral victory, nor do the majority of fans. We want to win these games and when that doesnt happen it's painful. If you want to get into "ifs"....we blew a coverage in the endzone so "if" we hadn't done that we only go down a FG! All those things are part of the game, and "if" you were watching close, the 1st TD we scored wasn't a blown coverage, it was a well schemed play that got a 1-on-1 match up for Moore down the sidelines and we executed it well. We improved alot over last week and that is room for some people to have optimism. Dont confuse that with 'moral victories'.

Who in the world thinks this is a moral victory???

That is total crap. UT got beat today.

I am glad they fought hard for 60 minutes, but UF beat them in every phase of the game. And it was in our house.

Don't bring that moral victory crap.
