Saban wanted Kiffin for himself?

I looks like Saban tried to get Kiffin to coach for him when Bama hired him. Sorry if it's been said before, I've never heard it brought up. Maybe this means Saban knows what could be coming at him? Gordon could only be the beginning, let's hope.

Alabama looking at USC’s Kiffin

Although Alabama hired Nick Saban last week as its new head coach, there is still reason for his detractors to hope that USC offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin could end up in Tuscaloosa. According to the LA Times, one of Saban’s first orders of business was to call up the former candidate for his job and ask if Kiffin wanted to come coach for him.

Alabama fans, however, are not impressed quite yet. Journalism is for Rockstars, questioning the desire of loyal USC fans to offload Kiffin, concludes, “Sounds like we’re getting hornswaggled….”

Saban could care less who we hired. His job is to put the best Alabama team he can on the field, not to worry about who is coaching at Tennessee.

Kiffin's job is to make him worry about it.

If you are the OC and recruiting cordinator for a program like USC, you are going to get some attention.

Did I read that wrong? I thought the article said USC fans wanted him (Kiffin) gone, and the Alabama fans felt like they would get the wrong end of the deal if Saban hired him.. I read it really fast though so I may have mis-read it.......

I'm confused. First you say Satan could care less, but then you state that it is Kiffin's job to make him worry?

Let's take a vote regarding what the hell Nick Saban thought or wants. I vote I couldn't care less what Saban or Bammer thinks about anything.

Bingo.

He isn't worried in the least right now, but if Kiffin starts beating him for recruits and shows that he knows what to do with them, then Saban will care.

Uh.... Is it because I am "study stupid" from exams or is that blog resistant to comprehension?... I can't make any sense out of the jibberish.
