Saban talks about Pruitt and Butch

But posters in this thread are complaining that Butch was coaching on the sideline. I'm confused...

He may have been telling Bama players stories about his triumphant win in the Music City bowl or about that time Shy Tuttle fell and goose egged his eye on a helmet.

Very doubtful he was providing any knowledge. Hell, they may have been explaining to him what was going on. Highly more likely.

He was telling bama players how his 2016 Vols were just a win away from the sugar bowl, but didnt do enough leadership reps...

So is Butch coaching Bama players a benefit or liability?

The Butch/ Bama haters have backed themselves into a corner here...
It's neither a benefit or a liability. Any bad that he does is certainly nullified by the real coaching from the rest of the staff. No one has backed themselves into a corner, BTW; you are creating a different argument then the one at hand. If he is coaching, which the evidence is pretty strong that he is, then we are getting scammed because his salary should be higher thus lowering what we owe him. I'm not a Butch hater nor was I ever BTW.

It doesn’t matter, Saban trolled us by hiring Butch. The players then dumped Gatorade on him like this win by players he didn’t recruit against players he did recruit vindicated Butch.

Just disgusted, people should remember things like this in our future games with Bama. This was Sagan’s way of twisting the dagger

I hate Alabama with everything in me. I hate Saban for taking them to the pinnacle of college football existence. That being said if Saban has wanted to “twist the dagger” he could have hung 100 on us and totally embarrassed Pruitt. He pulled off the dogs in the 2 nd quarter, so I have to respect him for that.

Butch is called an analysis and is not supposed to interact with the players at all. He can advice coaches on what he is seeing but can not, in no way, coach the players.

That's too bad...

But also true that he cannot coach players in anyway regardless!

It isn't allowed due to limitation of coaches. This is Alabama's way around the rules everybody else has to abide by. Schools are only allowed 9 position coaches that are allowed to coach the players. Butch is called an analysis and is not supposed to interact with the players at all. He can advice coaches on what he is seeing but can not, in no way, coach the players.
So how is he even allowed on the sideline?

Butch will coach again. It will not be at a small school either
He will end up at a bad Power 5 school. Wake Forest, Oregon State, Indiana Minnesota etc etc. Once that gig is done and he is fired again, his coaching career Wil he done
