i think he actually means it though. I even heard Reggie Ragland say that defending the vols was the toughest thing for him last yr bc of all the motions, reads and then they come straight at you.

I don't want to receive any pats on the back comments from Saban. I lost what little respect I had for him when he chose not to suspend the two players who got arrested in La. Screw "character/discipline"....which he likes to proudly speak about...win at all costs baby! He is so full of arrogance and thinks he owns the media. He got totally pissed that he was put on the spot on this very topic at SEC media days. It's like he thinks he's above having to answer questions about his actions..or lack there of.

Know what's crazier? Us actually caring what Saban thinks. It's kind of like the parent not ignoring a child who pitches a hissy fit when he doesn't get his way. The more attention you pay, the louder he gets.

Saban also fluffed Dooley and Sunseri. I'll hold my opinion on Shoop until I see the defense play. Debord and our scheme though? I can agree with that, the offense was up last year all across the board and was fun to watch when it was clicking and our foot was on the gas. Debord got stale at times calling plays but I feel like the 3 games we lead by 14+ and lost weren't the offense's fault. They got us the lead, they did their job. I am hopeful Shoop lives up to the hype, he's fielded great defense's with less talent than he has inherited here.

If he had praised coach Z then I would have known this was a Dooley trap, think he is serious.

I am not worried about Shoop. He took a Vandy defense and made it good. He will work wonders for the Vols defense.

Other than being Bama's coach I have nothing against Saban. He's a dam good coach and has won big everywhere he's been.
