USCe, 8-0. Rattler 5 yd TD pass, then a gimmick 2-pt play. USCe RB #1 is a cutback runner. We gotta watch for that. Had no idea Rattler was that short. He throws a decent short ball. Floats a bit. Most of his work outside, to the flat, etc.
And then USCe tries the onside kick. State recovers. Really? 2-pt try and then this? Against an FCS school?
Actually, I would think anybody associated with the USCe program wants this game to be over and the starters pulled ASAP. If the onside kicks help them get up by 35 or so and throw in the subs then more power to them. No point in somebody getting hurt in a senseless game like this.
State needs to run off tackle / outside the box. They've had success there earlier. Broke off a huge run that was called back due to a questionable crackback call. QB doesn't strike me as one that can kill you with his arm.
I think last year they got lucky against some terrible teams. Had they played UF when we did, they would have gotten destroyed. Then they play a terrible UNC in the Mayo bowl.
