He might have much better career if he chose Texas at the very beginning. He should blame himself.
I think RP would have taken the starting job last year over McCoy and Snead.
I doubt it. McCoy had a better first year than Vince did when he was a sophmore. I am aware that Periloux was recruited hard by Texas and all that, but I strongly doubt he would have been better than McCoy. McCoy's numbers were pretty amazing for a freshman.
RP is more talented than either of Young's successors.
Since he wouldn't be inexperienced, the job would have been his to lose.
Those amazing freshman numbers weren't available last August and thus didn't play into deciding who would start. If I recall correctly, the starting QB for Texas wasn't decided until the last minute. There was obviously some concern over whether or not McCoy was the guy.
actually you have no idea if he is more talented or not. Last I checked McCoy has had a better college football career and that's the only way you can judge it. At this point you could probably compare McCoy to Matt Flynn.
You don't want to compare McCoy to Perilloux since Perilloux hasn't played, but you will compare McCoy to a guy who has played basically one game?actually you have no idea if he is more talented or not.
