All I mean is that even a pudgy white guy like me knows that for black women, hair is a sensitive and even quasi-political issue. Anyone who's watched a friend go through histrionics about extensions, dreadlocks, straightening, etc., knows that "nappy-headed hos" is a particularly hurtful thing for somebody to say about a group of girls.
