Rutgers' Greg Schiano ahead of Tennessee's Jeremy Pruitt in 247Sports football coach rankings

Almost no one in the United States would choose Schiano over Pruitt to be their head coach today. That's the real story.

Agreed so I get why someone would have Schiano ahead of Pruitt based on accomplishments as of today. However, there’s no way in hell I’d trade Pruitt for Schiano and it has nothing to do with Penn St. I believe Pruitt will be the better coach from today forward. I believe he’s the better coach today despite Schiano’s prior experience at Rutgers.
I would guess that whoever did the rankings about had to base it on each coach's experience as a head coach only. Being a good assistant doesn't necessarily mean anything, other than they are a good assistant. At this point (like I said in my first post), Schiano has a better resume. It may be totally different in a year or two, or ten.

I think the argument can be made that the ACC has been better than the SEC in some recent years. Not every year, of course, but head to head and against common opponents.

I am not saying Clemson hasn't had some great players, HOWEVER, their depth is not what I would call an elite SEC team, they don't have to go through the bumps and bruises an SEC team faces almost every weekend.

Pfftt...rankings. They can put him anywhere they like....as long as it's not on our sidelines as our head coach.
