why not if we are going to run the wild berry package put creer and jones in the backfield too and run missdirection so instead of berry just running it we can actually fool some people with him handing it off.or maybe run an option.

Have him throw it! He played QB in high school, surely he can at least throw a screen pass. We need to do something to keep the defense on their toes- same goes for the G-Gun.

We saw what a 'high school athlete playing QB' pass looks like when he saw Gerald Jones throw a pass. Remember that? He has thrown twice and both passes were horrible. It is reported that Eric Berry thows the ball 'ok' but not much better than that. I am not saying they should not throw the ball in some fashion to keep the defense more honest. But dont go too far thinking Jones or Berry is a good passer.

thats what i'm saying something different we do the same thing out of that formation and if me and you know whats coming so does the defense.i think we can do some stuff out of that formation and have a really good offense if they just use it the right way.they dont have to use it all the time but when we do there is no need in wasting a down on a run that they know is coming.

He wasn't supposed to throw that pass. It was a designed run, and he saw the guy open at the last second and decided to throw it.

Am I missing something? I only remember the pass that Jones threw to Taylor and Taylor just dropped it. What was the other pass?

I've said it 100 times, but Tennessee doesn't try to do any of the misdirection pre-snap diversion when they try these plays. Who gets fooled by putting the qb as the wr? It's a wasted player on the field. So sick and tired of the same old bs. Can you say Eric Locke???????

Doesn't really matter, though. Tennessee is so far behind talent and speed wise compared to OU and Florida

We haven't done anything different all year, why would we start now? (Unless you the count the quarterback carousel we rode. Crazy.)

eric was a QB in HS but ran the trip option, he rarely threw it more than 10 yards down field.

These formations are never going to be particularly successful unless there is a throwing threat. At this point, it is a telegraphed run, and even someone as elusive as Berry is going to find difficult going when the defense is keyed off.

Because our coaches like to play 10 vs 11.

A wounded duck against NIU (I believe it was NIU)

I still cannot remember this. Jones got hurt pretty early in the NIU game didn't he? Or was that Miss State? The only other pass that I can remember besides a qb was Foster. Not disagreeing, I honestly just can't remember it. I was there, I was just a little inebriated.

hopefully next year with our new coach will see the potential in the players we got and use them the right way.we have some great athletes and they just sit on the bench because fulmer and staff don't know what to do with them.
