Has anyone else noticed that our RBs show a lack of vision when running the ball? I haven't really seen it from Creer but Foster/Hardesty consistently miss the cutback lanes on their runs. They get the ball on a handoff and run straight in to the pile of OL/DL where the hole should be, but there is no hole and they fall down/get tackled in the mush for max 3 yds. Maybe it's just me, but the cut back lanes/bouncing it outside might be worth a shot to pick up 6-10 yds. Maybe they can even bust one loose since we've only done that once or twice this year.

Anyone have a clip of the Creer kickoff return?

I only saw it live and sitting from the end zone thought if he had cut back to the right side of the field instead of the left after he broke through the first wave, he could have taken it all the way. Not criticizing here.

I would say Foster has good vision myself, not great but good. I've seen him cut/bounce alot over the year. Hardesty, well so so. He has the speed, he will try to run over ya and then take off.

We run an ISO/Counter type play that I dont remember it ever picking up more than 3 yards this year. It was called several times Saturday night. Handoff, RB buries into the line for 3. I'm pretty sure I yelled at the TV a couple times for them to bounce it outside but to no avail.

I thought he was alittle quicker this year than last year myself. :dunno:

So he went from 4.9 speed to 4.8...sweet...

Shiftyness and vision don't seem to be Arians problems...his problem is he is not that type of back...

I thought the same thing when I watched it on TV. That was his only good return of the year, all of the other ones were to the 20-25. He hasn't been spectacular back there.

I thought the same thing and it really looked like it on the jumbotron replay. Still a good run though.

OT but why did we not mix up our return guys since LSU was obviously keeping it away from Rogan? I saw LSU do it by hiding Holliday behind the other guy (Jones?). Maybe it was mentioned before but I found it odd.

Our RB's have a lack of vision, speed, and "scat" or ability to juke people. Foster is a great utility back- but, when he is our best option for everything- we have problems. He just does not have SEC speed and looks over his shoulder too much. he is still a good back- he just has limits. we need to be recruiting the next Jamaal or Little Man. Any word on us getting another Jamaal?

Little Man?

He was a pretty good back....not Jamal Lewis mold though and not even close to Webb, Cobb, Henry, Simpson...etc

Iwas sitting two decks up over your right shoulder and thought the same exact thing. If he had went right instead of left, the guy from his left would have been taken out of the picture and the kicker would have been his only obstacle. However, I thought he did a great job to get through the first wave and was excited about our field position until we went 3 and out. One thing is for sure, LSU wasn't about to kick the ball to Rogan.
