Just got this weird feeling we are going to run the ball down their throats and not throw nearly as much as people are expecting.

I believe the arial assault will not be shown until Florida.

Think this years rushing numbers are gonna shock alot of people and Jay Graham is gonna get a huge raise and pull a top back by the end of the year.

Guys, we are still gonna whoop some ass.

Vegas line barely even moved with the suspension.

What say ye?

I agree. IMO, R. Neal and Devrin Young are going to have a monster year running the ball.

I think we've all been expecting a heavy assault by the passing game. Experienced o-line, backs with chips on their shoulders...we'll probably rush for 200+.

This is what I've been thinking. It would really be something of we came out against NC State and ran it more than passing it. I'd like to see about five backs with over 30 yards, with Neal over 100.

We went from "Wide Receiver U"...

To "Slobber Knocker U"...

With one player dismissal.... *shrug*

I think we would've seen a heavy rushing attack even had he not been suspended. Just purely playing the guessing game be we never come out the way I think we will.

According to our depth charts I think we are Balanced U..... I think we'll have over 500 yards total offense.

I think we will run until they stop it, if they can . But really no one can call it at this time

It think we will run for more than 125 yds but I voted for option 3 :) I think Neal may even get close to the 125 himself.

Why is every ut fan in the world obsessed with running the ball.
Every one of you guys would make awful coaches.. we have an elite qb and two 1st round wide recievers and a o line that loves to pass block

Coach dooley would be a stubborn fool to come out this year and say we are gonna run the ball cause thats what ut does.
Coach dooley has brought in all these WRs for a reason

I don't know guys, with the way things have been in the past, we will have to wait and see what our O-Line can do in a real game & not just practice. We have been waiting for years now for the run game to open up and have our hopes knocked down after a couple of games...this is the SEC and big time FB. I hope this is "the year" for us to be a great run offense because of CJG and his experience as such. Be really nice that on the first play on offense, Neal goes 80 yards on a sweep around the left side untouched for a TD.

Because all you have to do is look at history as to who does what in the SEC. No one is saying they should come out like Nebraska 1995. They just need to be able to get two yards when they need two yards. That means line up knock someone off the ball and get two yards.

You're not winning the SEC with a passing game alone. I don't care how good it is......

There's absolutely nothing to suggest we are capable of that based on the track record of this O line and these RBs, but here's to crossing our fingers.

It's not that we think we can be great coaches or that we have to run the ball because "that's what UT does", it's that I think we're going to be able to this year because of the fact of the great receivers we have. If you think we're going to throw 50 times a game and win, then you're out of your mind.

Agreed. Football 101 says run the ball until opponent proves they can stop it.

I just don't see us running the ball like gangbusters. Not to say that we can't. But iif we come out there and put the ball on the ground three times and lose this game by a few points à la UCLA or UNC while never getting the passing game in rhythm look out.
