Rumor UT is trying to sign Cutcliffe for 4 yrs @ 600k/yr

Anyone been reading some of the rumors about UT trying to lock up Cutcliffe up in a long term contract? One rumor 600k/yr, the highest contract for any OC.

I agree with some of the other posters this isn't likely because it wouldn't go over with Brooks/Chavis.

Anyone heard this same rumor?

I'd recommend that CPF take a pointer from Spurrier and take re-direct some of his own money -- especially incentives -- to his assistants.

Had Cutty not returned, I think CPF would potentially be staring $0.00 right in the face within two years.

We definitely have the budget for it. If UT was able to buy out Buzz's contract for over a million, then I am sure that $1.2M for football glory is not going to be a hard sell.

With regard to that question, I think we pay him what it takes to keep him a VOL.

Hell, for a team with such caliber as Tennessee to go 5-6 then the following year bring back thier legend OC and at the midway point of the season, we are ramked #7 in the country and 11 in the BCS, that is unusual.
