Rumor McElroy won't play (but he did)

I don't know if this helps a whole lot. McElroy can't throw the long ball anyway so why wouldn't we load the box and stop the run? Only way Julio gets the ball is on quick out passes when there is soft man coverage. I've heard from bama fans McCarron is a better passer than McElroy so I hope McElroy plays. Sore hand and all. GOVOLS!

Was this started by the same guy that said 3 of UG's starters were arrested for drug trafficing??

J/K!!

I think it would help if he didn't, is their 2nd any good?

McElroy isn't that good anyway and Saban's offense is largely predicated on the running game. Any QB they stick in his system (with the exception of Joey Matthews or AJ Suggs) would have no problem running his offense with the other talent on the team...mainly in the backfield.

IMHO...AJ has much more talent and would come out with something to prove. I'd prefer McElroy...

But if AJ gets in the game and gets rattled or makes a mistake early maybe that could swing Momentum the Vols direction?

I don't care what you say... losing a QB who has won a NC and only lost 1 game as a starter hurts.

He has complete command of that offense. And it loses some consistency and timing with the other players if he is out.

I am not saying this means UT will win, but I am saying it matters. A lot.

Can't believe this is true but if AJ is in there, it sure would be nice to see Jacques give him a nice welcome to Neyland Stadium!

I just hope the AL backup doesnt have the same success against us as LSU backups have had recently.

No biggie, they could probably beat us with a water boy at QB

Hmmm I would think this (if true) would allow us to load the box and make them beat us with the pass.
I HIGHLY doubt this is true though.
Go Vols beat the Criminal Tide

We haven't been able to get hardly any pressure on any QB thus far. I don't think we will be able to tomorrow either. Also doubt the rumor is true, but we shall see. Hopefully it won't be to bad of a beat down :/

This is darn right laughable:

Greg and others aired some issues to the players' council. They all mutually came to a decision that Greg needs a week or two and it wouldn't hurt to give AJ some quality starting time in this game. The coaches agreed.

If there's one thing UT is known for it is winning big games against second and third string QB's.
