Rumor....Auburn's possible interest in Vols WR Coach David Johnson

Is David Johnson good at coaching WR? Absolutely he is. Recruiting wise it goes to Tee. Everyone is saying CDJ is a great recruiter but looking at composite rankings, Brian Neidermeyer is the best on this staff. CDJ isn’t even top 75 in the country right now.

Actually he's #49, which is pretty high on the list. Plus we just landed Deangelo Gibbs as a transfer and that doesn't count in those rankings. We're also in the running for George Pickens. So realistically, DJ is probably one of the top 30 recruiters in the country.

In comparison, Tee Martin was #17 last year.

In other words, they are both excellent recruiters. This debate as to whether we'd rather have DJ or Tee is a pointless debate, because we absolutely want both of them. Chris Weinke, on the other hand, is ranked #292. If we have to lose someone on offense, I think it has to be Weinke. However, it's possible that we could lose a coach on defense, still. No clue what Pruitt and Fulmer are thinking right now.

Pruitt is very high on Weinke according to the recruiting insiders. I don’t know if he’s getting credit among the fans for all of his signees/recruits so far (Gray being one of them I think).
