Forgive my ignorance, but is it really a "kicked ball" if the other teams throws the ball into your feet on an inbound pass?

I think he was arguing that it didn't hit Wayne's foot or something. Because if it hits their foot (as called) it's always a kicked ball even if they intentionally throw it at it. Because Wayne grabbed it and acted like it didn't hit his foot.

That was my understanding. I thought that if a team threw it into your legs, it was fair play.

If your foot is flat on the floor I don't think it's a kicked ball. Didn't see the play, though.
