Rucker: OK, start worrying about Vols hoops

AT TENN, Barnes success is looking more and more like a "splash-in-the-pan" last year. Granted several players left from last years team, but this years team seem like it is getting worse as the year goes on. Perhaps we will find out next year?
Team is not getting worse, we lost Lamonte and are playing better teams. The loss against Texas AM was rough but it’s college basketball, it happens. We were very close to beating Kansas in Allen Fieldhouse this time last week. Pretty sure the coach with over 700 wins isn’t going to just have “splash-in-the-pan” (the saying is “flash in the pan”) success and then let our program wither. Good programs and good coaches have transition years where they miss the tournament. It happens.

Splash in the pan? I really hope you aren't a UT grad.

I always get a good laugh out of people who try to use idioms and completely botch them.

Go crawl back into your hole in the FF.

Perhaps that's not unusual when a 5-year and a 3-year player are replaced during the season by 2 freshmen halfway through the schedule.
