The Lady Vols have improved in the rankings, but the area that has taken the biggest leap upward is in the public's perception of them as being a tough team to play -- even without its superstar scorer.

This is something I believe is a direct result of the hard work our staff does to make these players believe in themselves and each other -- and IN THEIR STAFF. These players look up at their coach, hear what she is saying, and BELIEVE what she is saying. It comes out in the way they handle questions in post-game interviews.

Public perception took a huge hit a few years back, but friends, the Lady Vols are making huge strides toward eventually getting back to the TOP of people's minds whenever they start contemplating which teams might end up in the Elite 8 and beyond. We're not there YET. There's still a lot of work to do, and some big "weren't supposed to win but they did"-type games to play, but it is obvious that the perception is changing for the better.

It's a great time to be a Lady Vol and a supporter of the Lady Vols!
