I remember a thread from a few months ago where a couple members mentioned they have season tickets, and that it's a pretty rowdy section with mostly young(er) alumni. I couldn't find the thread, so can any of you give some insight on some good sections? Where I won't be asked to sit down, and where my neighbors might turn a blind eye if I bring my good friend JD in with me?? :)

I'm going to be donating to the VASF, and want to make sure I get in a good section (with a good view of our soon-to-be monster jumbotron!!)

Any help is appreciated! Go Vols!

I had tickets in section W one year (one of the more expensive sections) and there was one time a guy asked me and my friend to sit down during the UF game because his wife didn't want to stand, but other than that, everyone there was pretty cool. Everywhere else I've had tickets no one has ever asked us to sit or to not be so loud.

if someone asked you to not be so loud they need to get out. immediately.

I would have told him he should have kept her fat ass at home if she wanted to sit. It's the freaking UF game!

People who ask you to sit down should either move to the luxury boxes or leave. Why even come to the game, seriously. That just pisses me off.

There is no sitting in the swamp or death valley (the real death valley in baton rouge).

I agree! I actually had an old couple call me "white trash" one time because I refused to sit down at a basketball game with 2 min. remaining and us only leading by 4 points.

We set in section Q, and have never had any problems ourselves, but some of the people who set on our row don't like it when people in front of them stand up too long, and these are not old people either. They don't even like it when it's too loud!

Someone told me to quit yelling during the Cal game in 06, within the first 10 minutes of the game!

I told him, if you wanted peace and quiet, you shoulda watched on ESPN. Then we scored our second TD and all heck broke loose in Neyland.

An older man that sits a couple rows behind us literally put his hand on a guys shoulder and SAT HIM DOWN. The guy was in the next section, a row down, and having a good time. I jump up and down the whole game and told my husband "if that old man touches me I'll end up getting kicked out of here."

I don't even remember which game it was, but it was this past year. We're in X1.

yeah that was a great game to go to, that was my girlfriend's (now wife) first football game ever!

I've just donated to the VASF at the mountaineer level, now I'm looking at sections. trying to decide between A, Z15, Z14, or Z13 (at least I think that's where I want to sit)

Can't afford to donate to the VASF, and I live 400 miles from Knoxvegas.

I usually Hustle in the parkin lot

the best section in the stadium by far is the student section. you get to stand the whole game, yell as loud as you want to, and drink as much jack daniels as you want.

i literally hate going to the games and watching as the student section goes nuts while all the people around me just sit there, in almost silence.

next year, i'm going to walk my happy 26 year old ass over to the student section and have a good time there.

Stand up and yell, fine. I do too. My pet peeve is the fact that people, who sit in the row in front of me, stand up and climb back into our row to walk out rather than disturb their friends in their own row. Now that really bothers me. I love rowdy enthusiasm but can't stand rudeness. Basically everyone gets along great in our section, youngest to the oldest.

We sit in X1 too and used to have an old man that sat behind us that I did try and keep a view open for him. Dad said he had been there since they got the tickets (early 70's). He always told me it was ok since he had his headphones on and could hear what happened.

You don't sit right behind the guy with the punching UT puppet do you? And the very short guy who yelled "Get it together Fulmer!" every time anything went wrong?

I haven't had any bad sections really, except during the Bama game this past year, but that was due to a stupid bammer being himself. No one has ever said anything about me mixing a drink, standing or yelling anywhere.

I don't remember seeing a puppet. There's an older couple on the end in front of us, and they both have the hardest time getting to their seats (he uses a cane and she can barely walk.) That is a love for Tennessee right there. They both have to be exhausted by the time they finally get in their seats.

i sat in section O from 99 to 2007 and i always heard a guy sayin get it together phil. that section was full of alot of nice ppl but ther was some two old ladies that sat across the aisle from me and there were two young guys that always came hammered to the game at sat behind. that was usually more entertainin than sanders's offense.

there was an older man who sat right in front of me for those years and he used me as crutch everytime he came as he walked down the steps to keep from falling and every time he said im sorry. it was kinda sad. and always had his wwII vet hat on.

student section is where it's at my buddy once snuck an entire twelve pack of natty into the game by putting the cans into his underarmour compression shorts...he would just reach down into his pants grab a beer and chug it while the security guards weren't around...i typically stick to a ziplock bag full of jack duct taped to my waist but seeing my buddy with cans of beer in neyland was one of the funniest things of all time.

This is sort of off topic, but A man who is a good friend of my parents used to go to all of the home games and would get so mad and upset that his doctor told him he would have to stop going to the games because he was in danger of having a heart attack. He couldn't even watch on tv.
