Not if they win the SEC East.

Also, getting drafted means you are much more likely to make a team. That's just the way it works. That's not really fair or whatever, but it's reality. If you're drafted, it means they are at the least ready to see if you can develop into a player in the next couple of years.

Very true

That is true too, but undrafted guys do make teams or go to NFL Europe to develop at which point collegiate stuff means zero. At any rate it is closing in on 3 my time so have a good rest of your night man, I'm out.

There you go.

Still never said he played with them his entire career. I'm not stupid. Witten and Stallworth left after junior years and Washington was there like a year and a half with the injury.

That is why I said he could have left after his junior year if the receivers were that bad going into his senior year.

:eek:lol: Nope. Witten, Stallworth and Washington were terrible. If he was that good he could have left after his junior year and it wouldn't have mattered.

You left the last part off.

That doesn't look like I said those three played with him his entire career :eek:k:

He had crappy receivers his junior year, too. Stallworth was gone after Clausen's sophomore year. Washington missed the majority of Clausen's senior year. The wide receivers were so bad Casey's junior year that Witten was frequently lined up as a WR. A TE was the freaking team receiving leader. Then of course his senior year, Witten was gone.

As for Clausen leaving early, I doubt he wanted to leave UT after an injury-riddled 8-5 year.

Which is why I said the scouts don't just look at senior seasons they look at every year so they could have seen what he did when he had talent.

Don't play the injury card. McGahee shattered his leg in Jan. and was a first round pick by April.

McGahee left a team that just had two undefeated regular seasons and a national championship.

Sorry I'll try to be more careful next time sir. I was trying to piont out that guys make NFL teams and get drafted with far less talent than Clausen played with at any point in his career i.e. Jay Cutler playing with a Vandy o-line and running backs.

I never said Clausen was Jay Cutler talented. He's a very, very rare player. He led Vandy to a win over UT for pete's sake.

Please tell us all tomorrow about the mediocrity of Casey Clausen and Tee Martin. I look forward to witnessing your dizzying intellect yet again.

Factoid: Antwan Stewart SUCKED!

I forgot you were the one that thought he held our D together.

You are a joke, I swear I would love to meet you in person.

Did Cutler leave after his junior year or get injured?

Nope. You did say Clausen wouldn't want to leave after being injured and McGahee had a very serious injury yet was still drafted in the first round. Just pointing that out mister imparter of knowledge.

Good grief. You must have done really badly on the SAT analogies. I also find it hilarious that the moniker I used to have would only get under the skin of those that were absolutely dominated when they tried to argue with me. The posters that could hold their own never mentioned it.

I never said he held our D together. I do now recall that you were the brainiac that was happy he would graduate so that he could be replaced with someone inferior. I also remember your claim that knee injuries do not cause a person to lose speed. If we met in person, I imagine the encounter would involve you asking me if I would prefer paper or plastic grocery bags.

let's all remember one of clausen's primary wr options in '02 was leonard scott. he cost casey a couple of percentage points in completions and some td's from all his drops. and when i say drops, i mean hit the middle of the chest and he just dropped it.

I agree. He looked good in the uniform and could run like the wind, but catching the ball was not one of his strong suits.

he was nothing but a track star. and even then he couldn't hold on to the baton. just ask justin gatlin.

i did look it up to make sure he hadn't been passed. i was unaware that jason campbell passed him on the list for career completion percentage. I have grown so sick of the lack of respect for casey clausen without proper substance. For that reason, i've been in so many clausen arguments i've learned a great deal.

The bad thing about Casey is he will forever be remembered for the Florida game in 02 and the UGA fumble. Very few people realize he beat UF at the swamp twice or was 14-1 on the road
