any help? it looks like Coach Cut is looking to rely more on the frosh...can anyone paraphrase that has a membership?

I don't have a subscription but can pretty much tell you he said that the offensive playmakers will come from this recruiting class. "Gerald Jones, Kenny O'Neal and Brent Vinson maybe Eric Berry will see playing time" Says Coach Cutcliffe.

Just going out on a limb

Let me ask some of you all with better memories than me - from 1993-1998, who are some freshmen who received a good portion of PT?

Off the top of my head Peyton and Jamal but those a very obvious.

Julian Battle was another JUCO guy that was a little bit closer to the right time period. Battle and Wilson were both great. If McKenzie fits that mold, I'd be thrilled.

basically the article talks about how none of the current wr's did enough in the spring scrimmages to prove they can play at the SEC level. only hancock showed "flashes". taylor, briscoe, and rogers are yet to prove themselves. Mentions that qb position is set, rb appears to be set, so unless something crazy happens in august, coleman and creer will probably redshirt. Also said it doesn't matter that we didn't bring in a TE because our foursome is as good as any there is out there. Finally it mentioned with the demands of OL play, a true freshmen just wouldn't work out.

to sum it all up, it repeated everything we know. We need these incoming receivers to step up immediately and hope all of our returners can fill the voids in the other spot.

Thanks for the synopsis.

Sounds like coach speak for Vinison and O'Neal I need you ready now and we're going to be playing 2 TE's most of the game next season. That should be interesting.

Hopefully Ainge doesn't have to run for his life when he's fresh off knee surgery. That would be bad.

Ainge running for his life was bad before knee surgery. I still think it's funny how Fulmer tried to talk about how people would be surprised at how mobile he was when he came in.

Ainge is definitely not a scrambler, but he's not a statue back there either. Several times last year I was surprised at his quickness. I'm pretty sure I remember that at one time he was running in the 4.7-4.8 range which isn't blazing, but isn't slow either.
