Well he chose Indiana 2 years ago, so I'm guessing CCM never recruited him at all.

Also, we have no scholarships available, so don't see how we could take him.

We could easily boot someone.

Eeek, wouldn't suggest that.

Not sure how intelligent that is at this point. Just got back from italy, already had multiple practices, would be surprised to see that go down, I don't think CCM rolls like that.

Sounds like his ACT is too low, anyone know what the minimum ACT score for UT is?

Haveno ideal what it is for Tennessee. But if you play for Cal at Kentucky you get 600 for just writing your name on the ACT test paper.

That seems REALLY high, LMU offers a full scholarship for all students that come in with a 28 or higher and maintain a 3.5

I know man. The bad economy is making a lot of kids want to go to college, so they are getting more competitive, hence the rise in the average ACT score. the average was only around 22 when I applied in 06

I applied to UT and had a 32 with a 4.0+ gpa and they didn't offer me anything but the Hope and Lottery, helped make schools that give need based financial aid an easy decision. Could pay less to go to a private school than UT.

This is pretty standard across the boards, I agree.

It has extended to graduate programs as well with LSAT, GRE, GMAT, and MCAT scores all becoming more competitive.

He may head to prep school instead of transferring. If so, will be interesting to see if there is mutual interest between CCM and Ron.

If he does go to prep, I guess it'll be Brewster Academy in New Hampshire. (Emmanuel Negedu's school)

How long ago was this? I had credentials slightly lower than that and received the Volunteer scholarship as well as a few departmental scholarships. The Volunteer scholarship is given to any student with a 28 ACT and a 3.75 GPA.

I graduated in 2009. (played three sports all 4 years of high school as well on top of the GPA and ACT)

Got accepted to Duke, UT, Tech, Sewanee, Rhodes, Center and turned down by Yale, Vandy, Brown, and Harvard.

Ended up choosing Sewanee because they were only 3 hours from home and offered me enough financial aid (roughly 18k) to where it was cheaper to go there than any other school. Rhodes offered about the same, but going all the way to memphis was just insane for an east TN native. Center/Duke pretty much had to be full rides because of out of state tuition, and they ended up not being so it was either don't go there or have 100,000+ in loans from undergrad alone really.

I was told at orientation this year that the average ACT score for all incoming freshman was a 27 which is what I had...
