Roman Tubner

Oof. I’m afraid the fact that Tubner and Redus are former teammates doesn’t bode well for Tennessee’s chances of keeping him. In his position (a family man with young children), I think he has to be thinking about job security right now. If he stays and then Kim ends up not getting a fourth year, that position with Redus is unlikely to be open this time next season unless Redus parts ways with one of his staffers after just one year.

I like Roman yet he moves around quite bit in his assistant coaching journeys. If he goes best of endeavors Rutgers needs all the help it can get. That program is gonna need a decade rebuild IMO.

Really hope he gets the job. I hope we can keep Gabe all the others not that interested in keeping. I don't see that much development of any of the freshmen as to what others are doing ranked lower on other teams.

They are your two best recruiters and Roman is a great developer of guards. Sarah-Ashlee Barker credited him for her development at Alabama.
I understand you need assistance with connections but I think NIL has more to do with signing players. Think we need developers maybe one for man defense and one for guards. I know were young and don't have the guards we had last year this age of basketball needs guards that can create and shoot.

Gabe also mentioned as a coach the writer thought Memphis should consider in this story about Alex Fuller Simmons' firing last week.

You would think he would get one of the jobs just a lot of them out there. You have to start somewhere and that is not one of the best places to start think USF is better, but may not pay as much as Memphis.

NIL has a lot to do with actually getting signatures, but it is not everything. And you are not in a position to get signatures without doing the traditional recruiting work to get them to visit and be interested in your school.

I beg to differ with those saying the freshmen did not develop this year. I think Jaida, Mia, Lauren, & Deniya are all playing better than they were at the first of the year, especially Jaida. Mya didn't really get to play enough to evaluate.
Les Miserables. Some are just trolls that can’t help themselves. Some have coaching experience. Some have been influenced by a favorite local radio sportscaster. Some are body language experts. Some hate Danny.

There are plenty a few still around that lean toward center or even slightly positive. Various reasons and points of perspective. This is (hopefully) obviously a low point in the storied program.

I’ll take glass half full! We get them at a neutral site this time around!
