Notice that none of these guys had pro careers, so they are likely doing this to get a little money from it.

However; if you take $200,000.00 in a law suit and divide it by 6500 former athletes, then each athlete would get maybe $350.00 each.

This is not the cash cow that they think it is.

Good point but after "Legal Fees" it would be more like $65K divided by 6500, so here's your $10 Rod Wilks now shut up!

I'm sure that none of the former players named in the suit were math majors while in college.

You guys believe Wilks is going to split that money evenly with the other 6499 athletes? SMH.

When I saw the thread title I thought he may be suing Volnation for how we portrayed him on the forum.

Basketball and football players suing for money after they never had a professional career that only 1% of college athletes get..So weird and unprecedented!

I wonder when all those kids from the softball, baseball, soccer, golf, tennis, and swimming teams are going to jump on board...

Hmmm, unless they are simply being paid by someone to push the lawsuit so that others in the future might benefit. The question is, who would be the ones to benefit the most if college athletes are paid when their images are sold by the universities? It won't be the athletes, that is for sure.

I don't know the in's and outs of the NCAA but I am surprised that they don't have these athletes sign waivers before coming on campus. A waiver like "You wont sue us for concussions because we are telling you right now they can happen if you play sports" and another clause for suing for monetary gain through the use of their "likeness".

Who is Rod Wilks? Serious question, I can't remember ever hearing of him. And I've just been on VN less than a year.

Byron Moore and Marlon Walls in on it too. SMH. I thought at least Byron would be better than that.
