Guys, we need to get a cell phone chain type mail or email going to all UT students and alum. We need to organize a Rocky Top chant for this season in advance. Whenever our opponent has the ball at home, everyone in the stadium should sing Rocky Top as loud as they can. I'm dead serious. It would really mess with opposing teams communicating with each other. It would also get us more national attention as having the best fans in the nation. We need to send this to everyone we know. It's time to make a statement this season. The fan support during the games last season was every bit as pathetic as UT's offense. This has to change immediately and not just if we are winning but when we are losing as well.

That's never going to happen. Besides, yelling while they have the ball is enough and probably better than singing Rocky Top.

As much as I love Rocky Top, even i wouldnt be able to listen to that for an entire game. I say if we can just get the place loud again we will be ok.

How about everybody scream when the opposite team's offense is in the huddle, in addition to at the line of scrimmage. It annoys me that the stadium quiets down long enough for the other team to discuss the upcoming play.

How about everyone sing show tunes. That would really throw them off.

How about standing up and stomping on the bleachers (assuming the person directly in front of you is standing as well) to make Neyland shake? I've not experienced that type of noisy stadium vibration since the 6 OT game with Arkansas.

Love the idea, but just us being as loud as we possibly can will have a better impact than singing rocky top. Dont get me wrong rocky top is amazing but nothing beats the stadium rocking in the 4th quarter when the defense is a facing a crucial 3rd down.

Since I do not get to go to many games at Neyland, I would love to hear the annoucers say: "I can barley hear myself think, this place is loud".

the wave should be outlawed in neyland stadium...it's the most mickey mouse, and embarrasing thing that a fan base can do.

Singing Rocky Top would get everyone more in the habit of being loud in general and it would drive our opponents crazy. I'm talking about loud! If 100k plus sing rocky top at the top of their lungs at the same time, you may have to cover your ears during the chant. I think it would at least double the home field advantage for the UCLA game alone.

Just curious, how old are you?

I think we should get in a tradition during tv timeouts to have one half of the stadium chant "Rocky" and then the other "Top" then "Orange" then "White"

If we could actually get the whole crowd to participate it would be sweet.

That's better than the wave.

I like that idea. Cheerleaders should orchestrate that.

It wouldn't be hard to organize just may be hard to get the "not rowdy" parts of the crowd to get off their fannies and participate.

No, that would divert everyone's attention away from the loud, annoying Food City and First Tennessee commericials on the jumbotron. Gotta know who's the tailgater of the game.
