I read that he may be used as a linebacker in the NFL. Would love for the Cowboys to get him since we lost Burnett. Would love to see him playing along side Ware.

Makes you wonder why he didn't play in front of Antonio Reynolds or Xavier Mitchell

Him sitting out is the only thing hurting him right now... The scouts love him but wonder with only one year is he just a flash in the pan.

ayers has really surprised me. he turned out to be a pretty decent lineman for us. i never thought he would do that much because of his size. i'm glad he proved me wrong.

I'm still not convinced that he's first round talent. Sure, he'd be a great pickup late in the second or early in the third...but first round??? No, thanks.

Whats sad is that Tennessee State has 2 in the top 100 and UT has 1!

That is heart breaking... I hope the OVC isn't producing more talent than us.. Last year Tennessee State had a Cb go early in the first round to the cards as well

Glad to see it for Ayers though, tough career at ut, position change, nagging injuries and stuff. He deserves it if he's really working that hard.

So, can we assume the Panthers won't be taking him in the first round?

Considering that Carolina doesn't have a first round pick...I'd say that might be a healthy bet to make!
There is the rumor of the Panthers trading Peppers on draft day, but we can't do anything until he signs his franchise tag. I guess I'm just nervous that they might try to make a trade to get into the first round to take a rookie DE. Ayers just isn't the guy to fill Peppers spot.
I could see a guy like Brian Orakpo doing well though.
