What a fiasco at Montreal. Gordon got hosed then gave some payback.

He slowed down for the yellow (while leading) and got spun - NASCAR claimed he should be in 12th. He stayed in 2nd under yellow then wrecked the leader and crossed the finish first eventhough he was black flagged.

Harvick screwed Pruett and ended up winning. Carnage all around.

Three guys doing burnouts after the race was over.

Robby has a point... in the freakin' background of Ambrose punting him the yellow flag is waving.

Oh yeah. That was a rear wheels completely off the ground punt right there.

What a race, Ambrose and Gordon both deserve to win. I'm a Harvick fan and definitley am glad he won, but wasn't he just preaching about how he wants to be raced cleanly after what happened last week. But anyway, I'm glad he won, I wonder who'll be driving the 7 tomorrow? How long Robby's suspended? It really was a great race and I like Ambrose and Gordon alot. Ambrose has a great attitude toward everything, and Robby stands up to nascar and doesn't listen to their crap. We need more Stewarts and Gordons around. But it was great race, what happened to Pilgrim and johnnson there at the end did they run out of fuel

haha, that was one of the most entertaining races I've seen in a looong time. You knew Ambrose was toast with Robby lined up right behind him, just waiting to punt him, and Robby wasn't even in 2nd!! haha.

Scott Pruett once again found out the hard way what happens when you attempt to block a car already beside you.

He tried to block/keep Harvick behind him by running him completely off the track.

So you blame Pruett for this? Im a Harvick fan and even i know he started that. Did you notice Harvicks tires take a hard left and take Pruett out?

He started it? Did he reach out and grab Pruett's car and force it into him causing him to run off the track? Did you even watch the race?

So you are actually saying that Pruett started. I'm the biggest Harvick fan on this board and even im not delusional enough to pass that off on Pruett. It was a racing deal. What do you want Pruett to do, just drive out of the groove and finish 30th.

Yes, Pruett ran Harvick off the track. How do you think he came from the GRASS and hit Pruett? Because you didn't watch it, I guess.

I suspect 2nd is better than wherever Pruett ended up after trying to block, again.

I dont know what Scott ever did to you, but you hate him for some reason. Do i need to download the video so once again i can prove im right just like last time about the mexico race. I can't believe im actually trying to prove this against harvick?

I didn't see the race and I have no idea what you guys are talking about, but I think Tidwell is correct.

He's not correct about the harvick/pruett thing. You all know im the biggest harvick fan on here, so why would i be making up something about him. Kevin even admitted it in his interview when he said im sorry about wrecking scott, but he was cramming me down the line a little bit. Really it was no one's fault because what are you supposed to do with 3 laps to go. Just move over.

Good for Robby, he's a good guy, and he god BS'ed today. I think he's too independant in the new NASCAR, which is evermore corporate. Robby is Robby, and a damn good wheelman, but he races whatever he wants to race, he'd race hot air balloons if he could.

King Brian doesnt like small teams with mixed sponsorship, and doesn't like people who speak against the regime, and Robby does both. I met him in New Hampshire, and have to say he's a class act. Not at the trailer, either, i ran into him, introduced myself, and he shook my hand and said "Nice to meet you, Ian", then took me and my wife to his trailer and gave us each hats and t-shirts, and a signed pic.

Agree with everything. I'm glad Robby finally stood up to Nascar. They treat him like dirt. I hate it for Marcos, but I'm glad Robby's not one of those suck ups like Waltrip. He tells it like it is. Nascar needs more Gordons, Harvicks, and Stewarts.

Robby Gordon Suspended from Pocono Race? UPDATE 2: Hearing that NASCAR will suspend #7-Robby Gordon from Sunday's Pennsylvania 500 at Pocono for his actions in Saturday's Busch race at Circuit Gilles Villeneuve. For more info on his actions in the race, see my Busch Series page. P.J. Jones practiced the #7 Saturday at Pocono and would be the likely substitute driver.(8-4-2007)
UPDATE: NASCAR is still evaluating whether Robby Gordon will be allowed to compete in the Pennsylvania 500 on Sunday at Pocono Raceway after not following NASCAR orders as well as getting into the back of race leader Marcos Ambrose on a green-white-checkered restart Saturday in the NAPA Auto Parts 200 in Montreal. "It's fair to say we're still evaluating [his status for] tomorrow's race," NASCAR Vice President of Racing Operations Steve O'Donnell said Saturday night. "We're still talking about what's going to take place in Pocono. At this point, it's too early to tell."(SceneDaily.com)(8-4-2007)
UPDATE 2: NASCAR issued a statement Saturday evening about the incident during the Busch race from Ramsey Poston, NASCAR Managing Director of Corporate Communications: "Once the caution came out on Lap 72 the field was frozen. Once the field is frozen, all cars must maintain cautious pace in order to be scored. At the time that the field was frozen, the #59 was in the lead. The #55 did not maintain cautious pace and by NASCAR rule, cars not maintaining cautious pace are scored only when they blend back into the continuous line. The 55 based on our scoring was ordered to blend back in behind the #33 in front of the #7. The tower ordered the #55 multiple times to get in to position. The directive was acknowledged by the crew chief of the #55 and the crew chief also communicated the order to the driver of the #55. The driver ignored NASCAR’s directive. He was warned that he would be black flagged if he did not comply. Once the #55 crossed the start-finish line he was posted per the NASCAR rule book and at that time the directive to display the black flag was given. After contact with the 5#9 on Lap 73, NASCAR took emergency action per the rule book Section12-2 thus parking the #55, which was also ignored. The black flag with the white cross was displayed to the #55 when it crossed the start-finish line on lap 74. The #55 finished the race in the 18th position.”(NASCAR PR)(8-4-2007)
