Does it seem like this year in the SEC the road victories are harder to come by than ever before? I mean it's not like it's close games on the road either. Every game I look at it seems the home team is winning by a large margin. UGA won by like doulbe digits today at home, Vandy won by 13, SC by 17 and Arkansas won by like 20.
Is it the refs? I've definitely seem more homecooking this year than ever before.
Do teams shoot better at home? This is especially important in today's 3-pt. happy offense.
I guess what I'm saying is that we are not the only ones struggling big time on the road. The West started out like 0-19 on the SEC road this year.
Overall the SEC is 19-53 on the road this year and that's with 5 Florida road wins. So the other 11 SEC teams are 14-52 combined on the road. That's crazy!
That works out to like 1.58 road wins per team and taking Florida out it comes out to 1.27 per team. So with one road win by the Vols in the next two then we are about on average.
The teams that we are currently competing against for a tourney bid are UGA with a 2-4 road mark, Bama at 1-5, Ark. 1-5 and Ole Miss at 1-5. So I really don't think our SEC road record is going to hurt our tourney chances. As long as we finish 8-8 in conf.
Do you think this a record year for road losses in the conference so far and why?
