Allow me to "What if?" I wonder how the rest of the year would have gone on the road had we pulled out the Vandy and Ohio State games. Losing tough games like that and then blowing the lead at Auburn led to the wrong kind of snowball, I think.

The NCAA selection comm. will definately look hard at our road record. This team is like Jekyl and Hide. At home they are great, the road..well we stink. Our 1 road win wont get us in the tourney. Things need to go well for us to get in. The love for the mid majors is going to be huge this year and we need some serious wins to solidify our seat. Otherwise, we may be playing home games in tourney play-for the NIT.

We are in the tourney no matter what if we finish at 8-8 in the conference.

Plus, from what I've heard this year the mid-majors are not as strong as in years past so they will not get as many bids. I think the commentator for our game yesterday even mentioned something about it being a weak year for the mid-majors.

I've never seen a projected bracket yet that doesn't have UT in the tournament. In fact, UT hasn't never been the lowest SEC seeded team in any bracket I've looked at. I wouldn't worry about UT not making the tournament.

I would worry. If we don't beat Bama, and we haven't beaten Bama in I don't know how long, we'll be in huge trouble as far as getting in. So much for watching Lofton open the NCAAs at Rupp. If we get to 8-8, we deserve a bid regardless of how it happens. We'd either be getting an SEC road win or a win over Florida. I'm also concerned that if we finish 5th, we would have to play the Gators on Friday in Atlanta if we survive Thursday. If we finish 3rd, we wouldn't see Florida until Saturday, and if we finish 4th, we wouldn't see Florida until Sunday.

Yeah, good points. Bama is a must win. Good thing is that they are having trouble on the road, too. They are 1-5 with blowouts, I mean absolute blowouts form start to finish, against Vandy and Arkansas on road.

Not only does yesterday's loss affect our SEC tourney seeding it will also kill our NCAA seeding. With a win yesterday we were probably looking at 9-7 in conf. and a 6-7 seed in the toruney. Now with 8-8 at best we will probably fall to a 8 or 9 seed playing a number one in the second round if we can survive the first.

Espn spent the entire morning puming the mid majors and talking about teams that are playing in the power conf. that should be passed over for a good midmajor that might not win thier conf. tourney. TN was mentioned b/c of our poor showing on the road. If we finish 8-8 we will have at least one more road win. If we sweep from here on out, we might get that game back at Rupp. Fact is, this team doesnt win on the road right now. We have to have that change cause last time I looked, NCAAs arent playing in TBA.
