How do they do their rankings. We have 9 more committs than Ala, same amout of 5* and 1I more 4* and still can't catch them. Do they use some weird formula?
Personally, I think Rivals is based in Tuscaloosa or Birmingham. So, they will likely always favor Alabama over Tennessee. Whenever we get back to beating Alabama at least every other year if not, three or four years in a row, Rivals will see us favorably! Honestly, I don't know where they are based, but, I would bet that it is in a football prospect-rich area like Atlanta or Orlando!
Been asking that for weeks. More players. More highly ranked players. Yet behind. Makes zero sense. Somebody mentioned decimal points but the rivals guys aren't good enough to separate players by tenths of points. Its arrogant at best.
Here is a link to all of their points that they aware for football recruits.
Rivals
As said previously, they only take the top 20 point producing recruits from each team.

(Rivals Rating = Points)
6.1 = 150 points
6.0 = 135 points
5.9 = 120 points
5.8 = 105 points
5.7 = 90 points
5.6 = 75 points
5.5 = 60 points
5.4 = 45 points
5.3 = 30 points
5.2 = 15 points
Among the 4*, Alabama has mostly 6.0, Tennessee has mostly 5.8. That's the difference. Still a marvelous class.
